administration and general running of Pascoe.

was. He helped us feel as close to Pascoe as possible, making sure every single achievement or heritage board was up, and bringing all heirlooms from generations past. Along with the help of Pascoe’s Housemother, Mrs Khanyile, he was able to make every boy feel welcome and at home. Mrs Penelope Ndlovu, the Pascoe Housekeeper, was absolutely amazing to us this year. Not only did she ensure that Pascoe looked great, she also provided a friendly face and the warmest of smiles whenever we entered the boarding house. With her around, any building would have felt like home. The strong team of staff in Pascoe did an incredible job as always. Mr Leslie joined us in Pascoe as an Old Boy, swiftly making his mark, and striving to make nothing but the most of every opportunity. Mr Zondi had an important job this year, being the in-House tutor throughout our time of transition, but carried out his role with enthusiasm, making his duty effortless. Since she joined us, Mrs McMichael has been a role model to all. Despite this, the boys settled in well together, and handled the transition of living in two different Houses with much maturity. It was lovely to see some of them representing the House and the school with such aplomb. Biko Makaula and Darren Phala were regular features in the Chapel choir and chamber choir, respectively, several times as soloists. Benjamin Smit was an important member of the U14A water polo side. A late addition to the group, Gareth D’Oyley, came in and added an instant spark. An avid golfer, Gareth immediately joined the first golf team, contributing to their successful year. In D Block many are unsure of where they stand in the social structure of the school. Despite this challenge, our D Block boys continued to achieve second to none in the academic sphere. Luneziwe Mshengu, William Wadman, Raif Jinnah and Mvelo Zondo all made multiple appearances on the top ten academics list. Luneziwe continued to show that he is the school’s premier vocalist; he also took the stage for the choir and the jazz band, at times as a standalone performer. Thomas Perkins set the tennis court ablaze and was recognized as the top player in his age group in the Midlands. Neo Selibe continued to improve as a saxophonist, showcasing his talents
