and Mr Mvelase Mbambisa, an intern. We also welcomed new boys, including Dan Carr in B Block, Thomas Wayne in C Block, Sikho Gama in D Block, and 12 enthusiastic E Block boys. The E Blockers brought vibrant energy to Ralfe, enthusiastically embracing all that Michaelhouse has to offer. Their sporting achievements were particularly noteworthy. Matt Shannon’s performances stood out, with him earning the U14 Victor Ludorum at the interhouse gala, representing the U14B KZN water polo team, and playing for the U14A rugby and water polo sides. Sheldon Topham also excelled in U14A water polo and joined the Chapel choir, while Neo Mphati captained the U14A soccer team. Dan de Freitas impressed as captain of the U14A soccer team, while also playing U14A cricket and rugby. James Ardé contributed to the U14A rugby side, and Ben Terbrugge represented the U14A cricket and hockey sides, and the KZN Inland U14B hockey team. Graeme Higginson achieved in both squash and academics, representing the first squash side and the U14A KZN squash team. Keamo Noge played for the U14A basketball team while participating in the voice ensemble, junior marimba band, and Chapel choir. Sikha Sibiya was another key member of the U14A basketball side. In addition, Jim Brook-Leggat’s leadership extended beyond sports, with his representing the Agricultural Society alongside his strong 193
