did not go unnoticed, even by outsiders, who were also curious about what made West unique. I believe it is these special relationships, built through the spirit of brotherhood, that form the foundation of our success. It’s a winning formula that truly embodies the meaning of the term “brothers in arms”. For many, E Block is a whirlwind – full of duties, constant running around and an overwhelming mix of nerves and excitement. I remember arriving as an E Block boy, full of hopes and ambitions, yet daunted by the reality of being at the bottom of the food chain. However, the West culture, its traditions and the people within it shaped me into the person I am today. I’m proud to say that the E Block boys this year not only survived but truly excelled, each adding his own personality to the West family. The E Blockers displayed a wide range of talents and qualities. Mathew Gerber played A-team rugby and thrived academically, achieving an impressive 85% aggregate. Lelethu Magasela made the A-team soccer and finished in the top 20 for academics. Massimo Buadi learned basketball this year and became a formidable force on the court. Iyanda Mzileni played A-team soccer and went on tour, while also excelling in his studies with an 80% aggregate. George Firth achieved an impressive 85% aggregate. Lloyd Evennett demonstrated exceptional athleticism, earning an A-team cap for every sport he played, and also achieving an 80% aggregate. Cameron

Hatfield made the A-team hockey and finished in the top ten for academics. William Robson played A-team water polo – as vice-captain – and rugby, while also ranking in the top 20 academically. Connor McMurray earned first place in the grade, an outstanding achievement. Johnny Leondidis excelled at both academics and sport, Farai Murando showcased his prowess at sports, and Noah Rushton brought vital energy to the group, especially during interhouse events. I am excited to see what these boys achieve in the years ahead. D Block is a particularly challenging year, as you are without a cop for the first time, which marks the beginning of your independence at school. It was an absolute privilege to witness these boys grow into true men of Michaelhouse, each making significant contributions to the House and the school. They are a talented group with immense potential. Leo Oliva impressed both on the sports field, making the A team for soccer and cricket, and in the classroom, achieving an 80% aggregate. Ryder Jordan earned a spot in the A-team water polo, and maintained an 80% aggregate each term. Evat Nghiyolwa had a remarkable year, making the A-team for soccer, improving academically, earning Grade 2 drums, and playing marimbas. Anesu Mutongoreya showed tremendous leadership, captaining the A-team basketball and earning a place on the Midlands team. He also made the A-team rugby. Matthew Southwood played U16A hockey and excelled in
