The first term began smoothly, with all the E Blockers adjusting well to their surroundings. However, by the end of the term, some key staffing changes had taken place that impacted the San’s operations. T
San for the past two years, made the decision to relocate closer to her family in Cape Town. This move was prompted by the health concerns of her brother-in-law, which led her to leave at the end of the first term. Similarly, Sister Adie Peter, who had been a valuable member of the team, was offered a position at Treverton, where she had worked prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. This opportunity also presented a logistical advantage, as it would reduce the daily commuting time for her husband, a department head at the school. Both sisters, with their extensive experience in school nursing, had provided exceptional care and service to the Michaelhouse community. Their departure left a notable gap, and the recruitment 172
