demonstrated skill and determination in every match. The arrival of a vibrant group of new players brought fresh energy and enthusiasm to our ranks. Emphasis was placed on creating a welcoming environment in which every member could hone his skills and contribute meaningfully to the team. A highlight of the year was our participation in the Sun City schools competition. The first team achieved a remarkable joint first place in their division, and the second team went on to win their division outright. These performances showcased the depth of talent in our ranks and underscored our teams’ ability to thrive on the national stage. To provide younger players with valuable competitive opportunities, Michaelhouse hosted an U15 Racket Festival, welcoming strong teams from across the country. This event further cemented our commitment to developing talent and fostering a love for the game. Another exciting milestone was hosting Petra College for a tour, which culminated in a hard-fought victory for Michaelhouse. The event was a celebration of competitive tennis and the relationships built through sport. The season was crowned by our second consecutive victory in the De Wet Cup against Hilton, a significant achievement that reflected the hard work, perseverance and team spirit of our players. On an individual level, several players distinguished themselves this season. Henry Love represented KZN, while Matthew Bennett, Thomas Perkins and Noah Holl earned spots on the district team. Their achievements highlighted their dedication, skill and commitment to the sport. As we reflect on another successful season, we are proud of the growth, achievements and bonds forged within Michaelhouse tennis. Looking ahead, we remain committed to nurturing talent, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, and continuing to build on our fantastic results over the past few years.
