FLIPPING BOOK CHRONICLE 2024

But it was also a real lesson in not taking your foot off the pedal when leading and, in Hilton’s case, never giving up the fight.

On a brighter note, the U14As had been beaten by 50 points in the first encounter but closed the deficit to nine, despite a tough season with many injury-enforced changes and losses. This result was a credit to the boys and their coaches under Mr Felix. A big thank you to the strength and conditioning team of Mr Dubazana, Mr Gumede and Mr Mdunge for building the boys up and keeping them on the field, and to the coaches for their time spent on fine-tuning their teams. Aso to Mr Quaite for managing the tough job of referees, a thankless task. We bid farewell to some key rugby coaches at the end of 2024: Mr Dave Pachonick, Mr Richard McMichael, Mr Minenhle Ngubane, Mr Gerry Noel, Mr Rob Pike and Mr Zet Jali. We unfortunately also lost Mr Mfundo Gumede to Hilton’s new strength and conditioning department. All have done fantastic work and will be missed.
