the boys are lucky enough to be afforded the opportunity to paddle several KNCU and CSA events that happen across the country over the year. The Michaelhouse transport department need to be thanked for safely transporting the canoe club to approximately 25 events. The major events on the CSA calendar which the club were represented at are highlighted below: 29 & 30 JANUARY – THE DRAK CHALLENGE Twelve boys and three staff headed off to Underberg for the two-day 65-kilometre Drak Challenge Canoe Marathon. The Umzimkulu River remains one of the most beautiful in the province and the results of all the boys who took part are listed below.

18 – 20 MARCH: DUSI CANOE MARATHON Eighteen Michaelhouse boys took part in the 70th edition of the Dusi Canoe Marathon and everyone completed the race. THE FINAL DAY After a couple of early mornings the top paddlers were able to sleep in on the final leg of the Dusi Canoe Marathon due to the reverse order start. Jack Shooter and his partner started
