ing together as a community. These moments, big and small, have strengthened the fabric of Mackenzie in ways that will be remembered long after the year has passed. It has been a year defined by unity and growth, and a commitment to ensuring that every boy feels part of something far bigger than himself. The E Block arrived at Michaelhouse with wide eyes, open hearts and a natural uncertainty about what lay ahead. What stood out immediately was their willingness not just to adjust to boarding life, but to embrace it – routines, responsibili ties, friendships and all. The way they supported one another through homesickness, the excitement of first fixtures, and the pressure of new academic expectations revealed a group of boys determined to grow together. Academically, culturally and athletically, they built on last year’s foundations with remarkable achievements. Kayur Jagadasan rose aca demically from fifth to third in the grade between terms one and three, while also contributing to the choir that earned sec ond place nationally for composition. Nishay Sudhoowa, a mod el of consistency, represented KZN Inland in both hockey and cricket while also placing seventh in the grade in term three, proving his discipline across all spheres. Jordan Matthee’s con tribution to the Jazz Band that won the Stellies National Ensem ble Competition highlighted the depth of cultural excellence in the group, while Calvin Purdy continued his strong academic performances with top-ten finishes, placing eighth in term one and seventh in term two. Hayden Ravenscroft excelled in both field and indoor hockey by being selected for both the U16B In land hockey and U16A indoor hockey sides, showing versatility and determination.
