Staff: Mr Ed Jeffrey, Mr JP Olivier, Mr Gerry Noel, Mr Paul Snyman, Mrs Lauren Thompson, Mr Brandon Venter, Mr Sanele Zikhali ver the past few years, outdoor education at Michaelhouse has undergone a dynamic transformation, marked by a noticeable increase in both energy and intensity. At the heart of this evolution is the introduction of Backyard Adventures – a thrilling addition to our already well-established excursion programme. This new initiative now stands proudly alongside the iconic C Block Journey, the reflective D Block Pondoland Hike and the always-popular E O

Inhlosane Hike The Backyard Adventures programme has been a resounding success. Tailored specifically for our D and E Block boys, it follows a carefully structured outdoor-education syllabus designed to nurture both practical skills and a deeper appreciation of the natural world. The initiative focuses particularly on engaging with our school’s own nature reserve, which serves as both a classroom and a playground for these budding adventurers.
