the elite players in terms of expectations and discipline, which are vital to success in highly competitive sport. Phase one was a success, and we look forward to phase two. Mr Jason Syce brought in a new outlook and philosophy, making an immediate impact on his group of U16A players. He had exposure to national training camps and went on to the Mirnawan U17 Hockey Cup

with the U17 national team.

Our thanks go to all operational staff for their dedication to our cause. And, of course, to the coaches and technical personnel who continue to invest time in the game with skill, determination and the appropriate degree of joviality.

Although we outnumbered them in short corners and circle entries, we failed to capitalise. We conceded two short corners and lost 2-0. Despite the defeat, we drew confidence from our performance and recognised the hard work that lay ahead.
