Michaelhouse Junior Canoeing Champion: Duncan Roberts Connolly Award for Perseverance and Commitment: Nathan Strachan he past canoeing season has seen events taking place all year round, with national events dominating the first and fourth terms, and the Interschools League taking precedence in the third term. During the second term most canoeists focused on their winter sport, with a few specialist paddlers shifting their attention to sprints and flatwater marathon events. A significant change this year was the cancellation of the Fish River Canoe Marathon owing to a foot-and-mouth outbreak in the Craddock area.
