The year started off with a prefects camp, which was indeed successful and acted as a compass to point us in the right direction to make for a successful year of leading Pascoe. On 15 January, we were met with 12 new E Block boys who were shy and innocent. Now, at the end of the year, the same 12 boys have each grown into their own in Pascoe and have formed a web of tightly bound friendships. This group of young men were also a talented bunch on the sports field as well as academically. Luneziwe Mshengu and Mvelo Zondo each had a brilliant year in the academic sphere as they were both Tarps representatives, meaning they placed in the top five of their grade. Coming inside the top ten were Raif Jinnah and William Wadman. Neo Selibe and Chad Abrahams both represented the U14A basketball side, with Chad being the vice-captain. Thomas Perkins represented the U14A sides in hockey and tennis, and James Hulett represented U14A rugby. May all the E Blockers of 2023 continue to serve Pascoe and thrive in whatever they do for the rest of their journey at Michaelhouse. The Pascoe D Block boys entered their first year of independence at Michaelhouse, as they did not have their past prefects to guide them through the year.

Change in terms of taking it out of the spotlight and changing some negative outside views of what Pascoe was. Although it hasn’t been easy, the boys have taken this challenge head on and the House as a whole has seen immense change and has come out the other side in a better position than what it was faced with not so long ago. The brothers of Pascoe can be proud to be part of such an environment and should carry on in the years to come to fly the Pascoe flag high. T
