In staffing news, Farfield’s previous Housemaster, Mr Paul McKay (2019-2022), moved on to take up a deputy principal post at Clifton College at the end of last year, and our new House master, Mr Doug Rodger, took the helm this year. Farfield also gained a new intern tutor, Mr Thokozani Ngcobo, who became the resident tutor. As this year concluded, we bid farewell to Mr Simeon Goddard, another of our intern tutors, as he moved on to a full-time teaching post at Maritzburg College. On 15 Janu ary, the newest members of Farfield seamlessly transitioned into boarding life. The camaraderie among our E Block boys swiftly formed within the initial days, fostering a strong support network that proved invaluable throughout the year. Each boy showed immense growth during the year, with many achieving notable accolades. These achievements are as follows: Fabiano Fierro, Jed Reilly, Tom Smith, Khazi Hadebe and Sphelo Mfazwe all represented the U14A rugby team, and both Jed and Fabiano also represented the U14A water polo team; Tom Smith, Thabang Dlamini, Iminathi Mntu and Khazi Hadebe all represented the U14A soccer side, with Iminathi also making the U14A basket ball side and Tom Smith making the U14A cricket side.
