• Oliver Guy: U14 200m individual medley, 50m freestyle, 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle • Joshua Haswell: U18 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke • Leruo Sento: U13 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 100m backstroke, and 50m breaststroke Michaelhouse took part in the annual Independent quad gala, hosted by St Anne’s where the team performed incredibly well, not placing lower than second place in any of the U14 and U15 races! Michaelhouse placed third overall behind Clifton and Hilton College. The swimming and water polo club took several boys down to Midmar for the annual Midmar Mile. Notable achievements from the day included: • Reilly Elliot: 26.12 • Tristan Atkinson: 27.00 • Oliver Guy: 29.16 Tristan Atkinson also swam the 8 Mile Charity event. Swimming a total of nine miles over the course of the weekend. Five Michaelhouse swimmers took part in the KwaZulu-Natal Championships Gala. The swimmers who were chosen to represent the uMgungundlovu District were Oliver Guy, Leruo Sento, Tristan Atkinson, Kamogelo de Almeda and Joshua Haswell. The following achieved notable positions:

The swimming season, although short, must be seen as an unmitigated success. The number of swimmers taking to the pool in representation of their district at the provincial trials confirms the immense strides taken by the swimming club over recent years. Caleb Bryden as captain must be commended on his management of the swimming team throughout the season. His commitment to the sport for the past five years has been exemplary.
