Expansion of the Media Centre and development of the Makan Centre well under way

The projects listed are only highlights against the backdrop of constant maintenance, upkeep and upgrades to buildings, estates, facilities and gardens whose demand for our attention never ends. We have a hardworking team in each of these departments who, headed by our competent Operations Manager, ensure that these incredible world-class grounds remain an absolute pleasure to work in (and to live on, for most). Equally important is the establishment of an appealing environment for our boys to strive for excellence in the academic, cultural and sporting realms of the holistic education which Michaelhouse offers.

Old Boys who make Michaelhouse the wonderfully inviting place that it is. To all the staff involved with maintaining the grounds and buildings – from the people with soil under their fingernails to the ones administering and crunching numbers to make it all possible – a sincere thank you. Gratitude is also due to our Chairman of the Buildings, Grounds and Environmental Committee – Mr Gordon Bruins. As we break ground on the new Tatham Boarding House, which will occupy us throughout 2023, we also look forward to more environmentally sustainable methods of energy generation and modernization of the campus.
