bands from Hilton College, Epworth, St John’s DSG, St Anne’s, and St Charles. St Mary’s DSG in Kloof invited our band to perform as guest artists at their annual marimba concert. This was a highly energetic event where three of St Mary’s bands performed. Our boys once again performed like professionals to an audience of parents, girls, and staff in their amphitheatre.

Mouth-watering cupcakes were enjoyed by all after the concert. A BLOCK SUBJECT MUSIC RECITAL EVENING AT ST ANNE’S DIOCESAN COLLEGE: 5 AUGUST The A Block Subject Music pupils from Michaelhouse along with their counterparts from St Anne’s got together on Friday evening 5 August to perform their practical examination programmes to each other and a supportive audience as a practice run for the IEB final practical examination that followed a week or two later. CUPCAKE MUSIC CONCERTS: 4 AUGUST AND 27 OCTOBER

The goal of the cupcake concert is to provide a non-threatening opportunity for our emerging musicians to perform for each other. Subject Music students from St John’s DSG joined their peers here at Michaelhouse in the Bandroom to perform for one another. On 27 October, it was the turn of all E and D Block musicians at Michaelhouse to perform for each other in an internal concert. Their diverse talent and skill were celebrated by all.
