is to produce men of integrity, thoughtfulness and courage. We are a House which has a great sense of spirit and this is evident in any of the inter-House events we partake in. This year was better than the previous two, considering Covid-19 became a thing of the past. New opportunities beckoned and a new era of Mackenzie was upon us. Following the appointment of our new Housemaster Mr Edward Jeffrey, a freshly refurbished House was only going to create more excitement and anticipation for a promising year. As I settled into my new role, I asked the boys to push themselves, capitalizing on their strengths as well as working together on whatever it is they wish to improve. Mackenzie is an environment accepting of everyone from multiple backgrounds and ethnicities. This contributes to the positive atmosphere created within the House. The young men successfully fulfilled the expectations set at the beginning of the year, making 2022 another building block in the right direction for the years which will follow.
