Our indoor centre (and those of our opposition) has been alive with the sounds of war-cries during first team games and the atmosphere of school pride has probably best been encapsulated by the enthusiastic chants of “House…House… Red-White…Red-White!” O

ratio of 66.8% having played a total of 226 matches (won 151, lost 75); a statistic to be proud of. The records of our first, second and A and B teams were excellent. Special mention must go to our U14A team with their 93% win ratio (played 15, won 14, lost one), the most successful team in the club. Our U16A team did us proud at our own tournament hosted at the end of January, narrowly losing to Maritzburg College in the semi-final (14-20) before bouncing back to beat Hilton College in the third/fourth playoff (13-12). Our U16A team also attended the annual St Stithians College Tournament in February. They beat the host U15A team in the quarter final (21-16) before losing to Kearsney College in the semi-final (21-33). They finished fourth overall after losing to Saints in the third/fourth playoff (15-22). Maanda Ramabulana was chosen as an All-Star player and went on to earn a scholarship to play basketball in the States. We said goodbye to him in June and wish him well as he pursues his dream. Similarly, our first and U15A teams attended the annual St John’s College Tournament in February. Our first team did us proud while our U15A team learned some valuable lessons playing four matches; winning two and losing as many.

The fourth quarter also saw us compete in the Kearsney Independent Schools Stayers Basketball Tournament (ISSBT).

From a results perspective, we were delighted to achieve a win
