Scene: Present Laughter • Mandla Mlangeni and Stephan Macamo • A delightful performance full of energy, timing and charm. Monologue: Dr Faustus • Tom Telford • Tom held the audience with a commanding classical per formance filled with intensity. Monologue: Narrative – Anthony Neilson • Abhishek Panday • Controlled, introspective and insightful – Abhishek’s nu anced delivery was excellent. Open Piece: Elementary Dating – Rowan Atkinson • Mandla Mlangeni and Stephan Macamo • A lively and amusing performance that demonstrated su perb comic rhythm. LUCID DREAM Scene: Sizwe Bansi is Dead • Siyolise Finiza and Nelisa Zungu • A deeply human, grounded scene reflecting South Africa’s protest theatre tradition. Monologue: My Children, My Africa • Onalerona Lefakane • Passionate and heartfelt, showing deep engagement with Fugard’s themes. Monologue: Peaky Blinders • Robert Combrink

Monologue: Prize of Peace – Les Morisson • Robert Combrink and Onalerona Lefakane • A thoughtful, well-balanced performance that highlighted both actors’ strengths. Monologue: Sizwe Bansi is Dead • Letlhogonolo Moeng • Authentic, spirited, and grounded in character – an excel lent monologue. Open Piece: Black Mamba • Robert, Lwazi and Onalerona • Energetic, cohesive and visually dynamic – an audience favourite. Open Piece: An Open Letter to Black People in Horror Movies • Letlhogonolo, Nelisa and Siyolise • Sharp, witty and socially observant, with excellent comedic timing. Monologue: Born in the RSA • Lwazi Dlamini • A sensitive, introspective performance that captured emo tional depth. From theory to stage, from introspective monologues to physically immersive ensemble pieces, our boys continue to prove that Drama at Michaelhouse is not simply a subject – but a transformative experience. As the examiner’s praise confirms, the department stands among the strongest, and the boys’ dedication, courage and craft ensure that the legacy of excellence continues.
