SPECIAL AWARDS
NICK CROWE GOOD FELLOWSHIP AWARD This award is made each year to a matric boy who the A Block group judge to have displayed the qualities and attributes of all-round good fellowship, whilst wholeheartedly living out the school’s values. The recipient is de cided by a ballot taken by all matric boys. The award may be given to any A Block boy who does not hold the office of School Prefect. The award is presented annually at the leavers’ dinner. In 2025, Daniel Carr was a most popular and worthy recipient.
THE REX AND SARAH PENNINGTON AWARD The Rex and Sarah Pennington Award was presented for the first time on Speech Day in 2014. The award is made in recognition of a boy entering A Block who, in the opinion of his teachers and peers, demonstrates the follow ing outstanding qualities during the years leading up to his matric year: • A willingness to participate and become involved in all school activities.
• Service to the school and others. • Kindness and generosity of spirit. • A strong and active personal faith. • A sense of values and the courage to live by them. Max Oliva was 2025’s winner.
CHICK HENDERSON MEMORIAL AWARD Jaydon Jubber was 2025’s recipient of this award, which is presented to a C Block boy who has displayed excellent sporting and academ ic potential, coupled with active involvement in the school’s service programme. The recipient should also demonstrate a strong sense of sportsmanship and comradeship towards peers and staff.
