MICHAELHOUSE IMPACT REPORT 2025 FINAL
BOYS BEHIND THE NUMBERS
Born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, I have always been someone who notices the details others might overlook. That sense of curiosity and determination has defined my path for as long as I can remember. After earning an academic scholarship to Cordwalles Preparatory School, where I grew both academically and musically, I arrived at Michaelhouse ready to embrace every opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute. I strive to be a student of balance. I try to remain driven in the classroom and creative in my expression, while always maintaining a humble attitude. I am proud to consistently place in the top ten of my grade, and most recently, I was honoured to place first at the end of the third quarter. I take a lot of pride in doing more than what is expected of me. Whether I am solving complex problems in Further Studies Mathematics or researching the human heart in Life Sciences, I try to bring genuine enthusiasm and discipline to everything I do. Finding My Voice Music has become one of the most powerful parts of my Michaelhouse story. As a vocalist and instrumentalist, I’ve found so much joy performing both as a soloist and alongside my peers. Being a part of the Choir and serving as the vocalist for the Jazz Band has been a highlight of my time here. Through music, I’ve discovered more than just my voice; I’ve found a sense of peace and purpose. It allows me to express things I can’t always say - it is where I feel most like myself. Redefining Success Reflecting on my journey so far, Michaelhouse has fundamentally changed how I define success. I have learned that it isn’t just about the final results, but about growth, integrity, and the person I am becoming. Luneziwe Mshengu B Block Pascoe 2026
