HOD, Mr Linda Shezi, who had produced top-quality results in 2022. We are grateful to Linda for all he did to grow the depart ment whilst producing exceptional results. In staff development we benefited from our online conference in February. We are looking forward to 2024 and I am excited about my new role as IEB conference convenor. Although it has been busy for both the boys and their parents, we do appreciate the support we get from parents, especially after teacher-parent interviews; communication is always easier when we have met in person. We also thank parents for encouraging our boys to adapt, learn and practice as most boys taking the subject are non-mother tongue speakers.

023 has been a busy yet productive year. We literally hit the ground running. Like they say, Insingizi enhle ikha la igijima. It was a smooth transition from the previous

Mothers, generally faultless in other respects, have sometimes two faults when their boys are in question. One is that they think they could manage the school as well as the headmaster, and the other is that their own boys are not capable of doing anything that is wrong (laughter).
