The 2023 Chronicle
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
A
cademic scholarship exams were written at centres around South Africa, including Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Johannesburg, Pretoria, East London and the Science Lecture Theatre in Balgowan. With very little interest in the option to write language papers in Afrikaans or isiZulu, the decision was taken again to offer an English language exam only, along with the Mathematics paper and a third exam to stretch the candidates’ faculties in the form of a 45-minute discursive essay, for a second year.
Testing, auditions and assessments for other scholarship categories were again hosted at the school in late March.
