various Blocks in McCormick. These insights are a celebration of the unique spirit that defines us. Embrace new beginnings (E Block). The tenacity and enthusiasm of the E Block taught me the importance of embracing new beginnings with zest and an unwavering spirit. Emerging with an array of talents, the E Block boys of McCormick have charted a course of excellence that reflects their diverse interests and shared spirit of determination. Jaydon Jubber, a member of the conservation, barista and mountain biking societies, has shown exceptional prowess in sports, from basketball to rugby A teams, while setting athletics records. Ethan Kruger, a force in rugby and basketball, shattered school records in javelin and discus, becoming the Junior Victor Ludorum. Then there was Daniel Pieterse, whose articulate voice in debating won him accolades, and his sporting spirit shone through in cricket and hockey. Amohelang Mpaka’s engagement in a myriad of societies and sports, particularly hockey, illustrates the eclectic talents within this group. Oliver Thompson’s oratory earned him a place among the top debaters in the province, complemented by exceptional academic achievements. Meanwhile, Leo Watson and Nkosinathi Radebe have been active in societies and community service, with Nkosinathi lending his voice to the Choir. The journey since 2020 has been remarkable, filled with triumphs and invaluable experiences. Whereas previous Chronicles have captured our collective journey, I intend to focus on this year’s unique lessons and milestones.
