The Founders Festival proved an undoing as a depleted squad showed much promise but failed to convert chances – a trend that applied for the rest of our seasons. The squad struggled to feature in the higher phases of the field, despite heroic performances from the midfield and defence, often playing against highly rated opponents. Key players, such as James Gilson, John Yeadon, Jason Lawrence and Oliver Brown will be missed next year. After a chastening season the B Blockers will need to take this year’s experience and put it to good use in 2024.
